Portal Account Management

Welcome to the Portal account management guide. Here you'll find step by step instructions on how to perform various actions within your account.

Adding a new user

  • Navigate to the account users section: Go to the Account users section in your portal dashboard.

  • Add new user: Select "Add New User" and fill in the required details.

  • Complete details and assign roles: Fill in all mandatory fields and assign appropriate roles to the new user.

Understanding membership roles: Click on “what’s this?” next to membership roles for a description.

 

Removing a contact

  • Navigate to the account users section: Go to the Account users section in your portal dashboard.

  • Locate and manage contact: Find the contact you wish to remove, then select "manage user."

  • Delete the contact: Choose the option to delete the contact.

Understanding Contact Roles

Contact roles determine access levels and permissions within the portal. Here are the roles based on membership types:

  • Direct members, members via reseller & members via remote IXP: Billing, Legal, Peering, NOC, Primary Contact, Guardian, Authoriser, Voter

  • IX API: Billing, Legal, Peering, NOC

Assigning roles to existing users

  • Navigate to the account users section: Go to the Account users section in your portal dashboard.

    Manage user: Find the user you want to modify or add roles to, then click "manage user."

  • Edit user: Select the option to edit the user.

  • Assign roles: Choose from the available roles and assign accordingly.

Removing a contact

  • Navigate to the account users section: Go to the Account users section in your portal dashboard.

  • Manage user: Find the contact you wish to remove, then click "manage user."

  • Delete the user: Select the option to delete the user.

Accessing invoices and billing information

Navigate to the billing section: Find the billing section under accounts.

Accessing information: Here, you can access current and past invoices, upcoming payments, and use the search function to locate specific invoices.

Accessing board meeting minutes

Navigate to the about section: Go to the About section in your portal dashboard.

Accessing minutes: Click on "Minutes of Board Meetings" to find all minutes in PDF format, organised by years or months.

Registering for events and event management

How to register for an event

Go to events: Navigate to the Events section on your portal dashboard.

View event listings: Scroll down to view both upcoming and past events.

Register for an event:

  • Locate the upcoming event you're interested in and click on "Details."

  • If registration is open, you'll be able to register from there. Registration typically opens a few weeks before the event date.

  

Managing event registrations

View attendees list

  • Scroll to the attendees list to see the members and staff who have registered for the event.

  • This list will populate once registration is open and will remain visible for past events.

Accessing event agendas

  • You can view the agenda for past events.

  • Closer to the registration time, the agenda for upcoming events will also be available.
